It's a challenge to install modern technology while maintaining old world charm at historic sites - but not for OptiMax Communications.

At one of Sydney's most historic accommodation venues on Sydney Harbour, OptiMax Communications used fibre optics to converge voice, video and internet all in the one system. Apart from providing guests with high-speed data services with less interference than a 'traditional' copper-wire system, fibre optics ensured that communication services remained reliable as they were not prone to lightening damage. Guests and staff were also safe if they accidently damaged cables. An almost invisible system ensured guests were able to take pleasure in contemporary comforts, while enjoying the heritage values of the historic property.
